Our Policies

DavidsonLearns respects the rights of copyright owners. We ask each of our Instructors to do the same and not to use or distribute materials that violate copyright laws.

As a 501(c)(3) organization formed for educational purposes, our instructors may rely on the “classroom use” exception to the copyright law. This exception permits the performance or display of works in a nonprofit educational in-person teaching environment. With respect to other use or distribution materials, we ask our instructors to use only properly licensed materials unless such materials are in the public domain or qualify as “fair use” under the copyright laws.

DavidsonLearns will promptly review and make appropriate efforts to resolve any concerns raised by copyright owners. Concerns should be sent to the Executive Director of DavidsonLearns at executivedirector@davidsonlearns.org.

The DavidsonLearns Instructor’s Handbook provides further guidelines for our instructors and can be found HERE.
