Ted Amato is Professor of Economics at UNC Charlotte. He joined the UNC Charlotte faculty in 1980. He is a two-time finalist for the Bank of America Award for Teaching Excellence, UNC Charlotte’s most prestigious campus wide teaching award.  Ted and his wife Christie moved to Davidson in 1994. He enjoys road cycling, travel, and college spectator sports.  His near-term ambition is to become fluent in Spanish.
