Peter Harnett, MS, MPH

Peter Harnett earned his BA (Biology) from Cornell University and his MS (concentration in toxicology) and MPH (concentration in occupational health) from the University of Texas Health Science Center. He is a Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and is an Environment, Health and Safety Consulting employee and active member of the Leidos mental health and well-being campaign. He chaired the AIHA Opioids Working Group from 2017 to 2021, leads Recovery Friendly North Carolina’s Research and Data Analysis Work Group, and volunteers in community and workplace efforts to address opioid and other substance use concerns. Peter’s consulting company, COEH, provides EHS consulting services, and he has taught an Industrial Hygiene Review Course at Rutgers University. Peter lost his brother to a heroin overdose in 1987.
