Meggie Lasher, MSLS

Meggie Lasher is the Archives & Special Collections Librarian for Researcher Experience and Education at Davidson College, where she supports students and faculty with their research through classroom instruction and individual consultations. She also works closely with researchers and community members who use the college's archives and special collections. She became interested in how librarians help students with their academic work while she was attending Mount Holyoke College, where she earned a BA in Ancient Studies. Returning to her home state, she earned her MS in Library Science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Her professional and academic areas of interest include digital literacy, everyday life information practices, information world maps and horizons, and ancient Roman material culture. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Quincy — often walking around the Davidson campus and nearby greenways — as well as solving crosswords and reading contemporary literary fiction.
