Linda Gorman, PhD
Linda Gorman, PhD

After earning a PhD in Neurosciences from the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Gorman completed her post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins University. She then completed a purely-research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, working in the Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine department. While she loved research, which was focused on Neuroplasticity and Brain Injury, she realized that teaching was her true passion. She returned to the Johns Hopkins University campus where she spent her entire career as a professor and administrator of the Undergraduate Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology Programs. As an Emeritus Professor, Dr. Gorman continues to work with Johns Hopkins undergraduate students to promote community engagement with the youth edition of the Brain Health: It’s SPECtacular™ program. She also volunteers her time as a Visiting Professor at the Wake Forest Medical School, Charlotte campus.
