Ben Klein earned his MA and PhD from Yale University and taught mathematics at Davidson College from 1971 until 2008, when he retired as the Dolan Professor of Mathematics. He has taught on a part-time basis ever since. During his teaching career at Davidson, he taught almost every undergraduate mathematics course offered at least once. Beyond Davidson College, he has been active in the Mathematical Association of America and has been involved with the Advanced Placement Calculus program since 1991.
