Instructors
J. Michael Hogan, PhD
J. Michael Hogan is the Edwin Erle Sparks Professor Emeritus of Rhetoric at the Pennsylvania State University. He has published eight books and more than 70 scholarly articles, and he is the founder of the Center for Democratic Deliberation at Penn State. He also has served as a scholarly advisor to the National Constitution Center, and he directs a popular educational website, Voices of Democracy: The U.S. Oratory Project. He has won a number of scholarly awards, including two major grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
