About the Event
Explore Tryon Palace, the first permanent capital of the colony of North Carolina and the home of its first governor, William Tryon. Tryon Palace Executive Director, William J. McCrea, will discuss the history and the architecture of the original palace, the rebuilding of the palace in the 1950s, and the present-day activities available to visitors to the palace and its gardens. He will also address future plans for this historic site.
